I work in a pharmacy, or in other words, a mini everything mart. When I run the register I’m responsible for sale tags, developing film, running the photo kiosk, answering the phones, selling lotto, cigarettes, as well as running the register.
People can’t seem to wrap their heads around the idea that they have to stand in the same main line to get their lotto tickets (or photo). It’s not uncommon for people to stand in front of the lotto dispenser (With no cash register, thank you) tapping their foot and sighing impatiently while I try to work through five person lines on my own. Some even loudly ask when I’m going to help them, like I’m just going to turn away the customers who patiently stood in line just because they want their bingo scratch off. It’s even more infuriating when I’m obviously struggling to keep the line moving and I’ve paged several times for back up. You would think people could take a clue.

Birthday Fireworks and a Can of Beans by *egriz
Eli and Wyn watching fourth of July fireworks from their corner of the world. Eli’s birthday is the fifth, but watching the fireworks the night before is the only tradition they really tend to celebrate. The can of beans is a festive (but adorably lame) birthday cake.
Wyn innocently associates 4th of July shows with Eli for the rest of his life. ..And I’m sure Eli doesn’t mind joking they’re just for his birthday.
Shameless reblog, back from the cabin. I really can’t tell if the queue worked so HERE IT IS AGAIN. I know sometimes it eats things.. I still really like this though. I’ve got to write down the scenes I had.
